Job Description

The Premix Technician is responsible for the requisition, withdrawal and inventory management of micro ingredients. He is also responsible for the accurate preparation of premix and its dosing to the right batch during production. The Premix Technician ensures compliance to ISMS, Safety, 5S, GMP and the Pilmico standards for quality in his area of responsibility.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

-Request needed micro-ingredients from purchasing or Tarlac Plant.

-Conducts regular inventory count of micro-ingredients.

-Withdraw using FIFO of micro-ingredient for premix preparation and logs withdrawal for recording.

-Ensures storage of micro-ingredients is in a safe and in a recommended condition.

-Variance tracing/analysis and correction.

-Implements and maintains 5S/GMP in the storage area.

PREMIX PREPARATION AND LOADING

-Schedule premix preparation in coordination with Production, QC and Formulation Department.

-Preparation of premix and records/logs activity.

-Staging of prepared premix for production use.

-Loading of the correct premix in coordination with production and records/logs activity.

-Implements and maintains 5S/GMP in the premix loading area.

Other Tasks:

-Performs other related activities that may be assigned by immediate superior.

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:

-Graduate of a 4 yr course.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

-None

CRITICAL SKILLS OR COMPETENCIES REQUIRED :

1. Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures specifically in relation to inventory.
2. Ability to establish effective interpersonal relationships with colleagues
3. Good command of English, both oral and written
4. Confidence, ethics, and perseverance
5. Capability of handling confidential matters.
6. Computer literacy in data processing and required software
7. Speed and accuracy in performing simple mathematical calculations with the aid of a computer, calculator or an adding machine
8. Detail and quality oriented.
