Senior Technical Writer  

As a Senior Technical Writer/Business Analyst, you will be responsible for business analysis, data gathering and proper documentation of systems developed by the group. Liaise with the business groups and other departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of projects. Manages the Jr. Technical Writer.

Specifically, you are involved in:

• collaboration with business teams, programmers, and management to gather project data, analyze and understand requirements determining types of documentation needed
• ensuring accuracy and completeness of reference documentation
• developing documentation templates, processes, and guidelines
• research and evaluate new documentation tools and methods

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Keeps computer equipment, hardware, and software updated to meet current and future needs.
2. Maintains records, prepares reports and composes correspondence relative to the work.
3. Analyzes and documents business requirements for various projects.
4. Coordinates with developers in creating technical documentation such as system diagrams (DFD, ERD, Process Flows, Users Manual, Troubleshooting Manual, FAQ, etc.) and system requirements in compliance to the company's established standards and guidelines.
5. Understands different user levels and writes to the appropriate level.
6. Research, write, edit and proofread complex technical data.
7. Review, revise, modify or edit documents prepared by others (esp. those of the Jr. Technical Writer)
8. Develops working knowledge of product functional areas as assigned.
9. Knows how to apply and suggest usability in web design.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: Graduate of a Computer Science/IT degree or any related course

Work Experience: at least one (1) year solid related work experience
