Job Description

Summary

Contribute to the goals of the department specifically in the area of compensation and benefits management, talent development/acquisition and management and labor relations.

Primary duties and responsibilities

  • Compensation and Benefits Management
    • Review job descriptions and recommends update.
    • Assist in the review of salary structure.
    • Assist in the reviews of papers regarding hiring, promotion, transfer and separation/resignation.
    • Update HR Information System pertaining to Compensation and Benefits.
    • Prepare salary adjustment based on Wage Order released by the National Wages and Productivity Commission and CBA.
    • Coordinate with GSIS, Pag-ibig Fund, NLRC, and Philhealth with regard to employees’ membership, benefits, and welfare.
    • Approve and certify loans of employees with GSIS.
    • Sign documents such as:
      • ARA
      • Service Record
      • Application for Retirement Benefits
      • Application for Cash Surrender/Termination Value
      • Application Membership for submission to:
        • GSIS
        • Pag-ibig
        • Philhealth
      • Monthly report for:
        • Payroll deduction.
        • Payment of overtime
        • Night differential and other related reports.
    • Maintain documents on Salary Structures and Job Evaluation program.
  • Talent Development/Acquisition
    • Grow the Society’s talent pipeline and improve sourcing tactics.
    • Conduct initial interviews for applicants.
    • Evaluate test results and employment test.
      • Refer qualified applicant to division/department concerned.
    • Prepare employment papers.
      • Conduct orientation to the newly hired employees.
    • Prepare report and correspondence related to employment and training.
    • Maintain o-charts and updates them regularly.
  • Performance Management
    • Review, recommend, update, and harmonize performance evaluation.
    • Link salary performance management to compensation administration program.
    • Maintain files on Performance Management per employee.
  • Labor Relations
    • Implement PTSI’s Code of Discipline.
    • Assist the Manager in developing and directing implementation of employees’ benefits and services including social and recreational programs.
    • Assist during CBA negotiations.
    • Monitor compliance in CBA provisions.
    • Maintain documents on on-going investigations, CBA negotiations, and Policies on Labor Relations.
  • Perform related functions as may be assigned by the HRD/Admin. Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of BS Psychology, Social Science, or IE.
  • At least 4 years of work experience in Human Resources field.

PTSI is a non-profit and private organization that has been at the forefront in the battle against tuberculosis since 1910. To this day, the institute complements the government's National Tuberculosis Program (NTP) in the detection, treatment, and control of tuberculosis in the country. PTSI operates with the Quezon Institute (QI) as its hospital arm, its Research and Training Divisions for technical support and its Field Operating Division (FOD) in managing its provincial chest clinics. With its provincial network, PTSI actively implements the Community Outreach Program and Education (COPE Initiative). Through the COPE, tuberculosis victims in the rural areas who have limited access to government facilities are identified and treated.
