Job Description
A. INSTALLATION
- Network Management
- Management of IP network
- Management of ONU, Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer and end user setup
- Coordination with other departments (PPID & OP/PIFM) for the new installations
- Planning for Leasedline subscriber and support pre-sales
- Network Provisioning/Configuration
- VLAN, Port and IP allocation, subnetting and distribution
- Traffic shaping (Queue, Bursting, Committed information Rate)
- Configure router, modem and onu for end users
B. MAINTENANCE and MONITORING
- Monitoring of IP network systems
- Monitor the performance and capacity of ports
- Monitor hardware, software, and environmental alerts or malfunctions.
- Monitor system performance and implements performance tuning
- Pro-active monitoring of end to end Service Provider Nodes
- Traffic monitoring and setup via MRTG
- Maintain inventory of router, switches and ONUs
- Prepare technical advisory reports thru emerald
C. RESTORATION
- Technical Support
- Troubleshooting of connection issues
- Address technical issues on Emerald
- Analyze and evaluate issues
- Provide secondary support to CRM
- Coordinating with other IT Teams/ Department (PPID & OPEM)/NOG
- Tracking of all issues on Emerald
- Escalate other issues to Level 2
D. RESEARCH and DEVELOPMENT
- Research new technologies
- Explore new techniques and innovations
- Attend trainings and seminars
E. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Temporary Disconnection of the subscriber
- Permanent Disconnection of the subscriber
- Modification of Services (Bandwidth Upgrade/Downgrade/BOD/Wifi Request for Greendot Subscriber)
- Daily, weekly and monthly reports
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
- With at least 6 months of relevant experience.
- With CCNA Certificate or ECE License.
- Passionate about learning and developing necessary technical skills
- Able to creatively solve problems and strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
- Able to multi-task
- Willing to work on a shifting schedule.

About PT&T
Philippine Telegraph & Telephone Corp. (“PT&T” or “Company”) was incorporated on November 1962. In 1964, the Company was granted its first legislative franchise under Republic Act No. 4161. PT&T is currently operating under a legislative franchise granted to it last 2016 under Republic Act No. 10894 allowing it to operate as a telecommunications company for the next 25 years.
