Job Description
- Promote RCRC Fundamental Principles and PRC vision, mission, services and key messages at all times
- Write timely and accurate news and feature stories on different Red Cross activities (local, national and international) for publications in the various media and PRC web
- Prepare quarterly PRC newsletter covering national and chapter activities
- Prepare speeches and/or talking points for PRC spokespersons when necessary
- Prepare and/or review PRC collaterals (brochures, flyers, etc.) as often as may be required
- Write mid-year and PRC annual reports
- Provide PRC offices and chapters’ advice and assistance in terms of communications
- Monitor PRC activities and/or situation especially in times of disasters and ensure regular update to all concerned offices and the public
- Submit monthly accomplishment report to the Communications Manager
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as delegated by his or her immediate supervisor within his or her capacity and Philippine Red Cross Mandate
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communications, English, and/or Communication Literature
- Must be willing to do field work, if necessary
- Must be willing, dedicated and committed to work long hours as required especially in times of disasters
- Knowledgeable and interested in working for a humanitarian organization
