Job Description
- Ensures continuing supply of blood to the Blood Center by:
- arranging mass blood donation/s
- enhancing office blood collection
- Organizes public appeals, lectures and other possible venues of promotion to seek support for a voluntary blood drive
- Organizes and conducts training of trainers on donor recruitment and retention and training of donor recruiters
- Assists Chapters in operating blood collecting unit/blood station and in implementing an effective donor recruitment and retention system
- Assists in fostering relationships of the Blood Center with other organizations such as GOs, NGOs, and/or LGUs and institutions such as hospitals
- Identifies the need for and designs materials for advocacy and promotion of voluntary blood donations
- Continuously seeks for effective donor recruitment and retention strategies
- Participates in the conduct of mass blood donations whenever necessary
- Performs the functions of a blood blank receptionist, blood bank nurse or blood bank medical technologist
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by superiors, including but not limited to the following:
- accompanies blood services committee chairperson in functions related to Blood Services
Minimum Qualifications
- Registered Nurse
- Strong analytical and planning skills
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills;
