Job Description
- Perform various laboratory examinations on collected blood as mandated by the Department of Health on all blood units for transfusion.
- Prepare blood component.
- Carry out proper storage and issuance of blood and blood components.
- Perform serological tests for out-patients and PRC staff.
- Perform the function of phlebotomist or receptionist whenever necessary.
- Keep accurate records and provides reports on laboratory.
- Help in the maintenance of sanitation and upkeep of equipments and facilities, proper disinfection, and disposal of laboratory wastes.
- Supervise and train medical technologist interns, trainees, and volunteers in the laboratory.
- Measure and monitor performance of equipment and reagents, in line with quality assurance.
- Ensure that the laboratory licenses are up to date.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by superiors.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology.
- Medical Technologist license holder.
- Preferrably with a minimum of one year work-related experience.
