Job Description
- Formulates strategic operational plans
- Formulates policies, guidelines, and strategies for the implementation of community based health programs
- Formulates project proposals
- Devises responsive health programs
- Responsible for developing health component of proposals and appeals. And then manages the special health projects as funded by donors
- Monitors and evaluates program implementation
- Conciliates activities and operational plan with the other departments under the Disaster Management and Health and Welfare directorate
- Guides the development of standard operating procedures and business contingency plans
- Organizes training program activities for NHQ and chapter health teams
- Coordinates with the National and Regional offices of Department of Health and other government and non-government agencies and assists in fostering health team relationship to the Chapter
- Establishes partnerships with key players in the health sector and other organizations that delivers impact thru health programs
- Reviews and evaluates program implementation
- Determines training and support needs of field staffs and chapters
- Plans and organizes capacity building activities
- Reviews staffing and staff requirements
- Selects and recommends hiring of qualified candidates to the higher ups
- Coaching, training, and mentoring
- Appraises personnel performance
Minimum Qualifications

Licensed Medical Doctor

Master in Public Health
- Preferably with Diploma in International Health
- Master in International Health
- Master of Arts in Health Policy Studies
- 5 year experience in community based health program implementation
- 3 years in program management and supervisory position
- Experience in project management
