Job Description
Responsible for the day- to-day software management, georeferenced data and map maintenance and capacity building support to staff and volunteer.
- Download, convert and upload GIS data available from internal and external sources to make them usable
- Initiate or train others to capture GIS data in different formats using Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) equipment, electronic data recorders, digitizers and other means
- Monitor the VCA Digitalization activities in chapters and ensure smooth implementation of workplan activities
- Coordinate with NHQ and chapter staff relating to VCA Digitalization and other GIS related work
- Monitor and evaluate the implementation of VCA Digitalization
Minimum Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree of Bachelor of Science in Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, or related course\
- At least 2 years of experience in GIS maintenance, promotion and training other staff or volunteer
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of SQL databases, ArcGIS, QGIS, Adobe Creative Suite and Autocad Software
- Working experience with NGOs or international development organization is preferable
