Job Description
To develop communications that promote the vision, mission, programs & services of the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) suitable for a variety of audiences and media channels.
- Develop written communication in conjunction with the PRC team targeting both internal & external audiences
- Develop written communication that is both compelling and accurate
- Develop and produce promotional material including press releases, social media updates, promotional materials, feature articles and news
- Research, assess and validate opportunities to promote the image and work of the PRC
- Develop written communication in conjunction with the Communication Office, PRC Chapters & Services targeting both internal & external audiences
- Collaborate with various PRC Services and Chapters that require assistance promoting programs or projects which will enhance and expand the awareness of the PRC in the community
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Mass Communications, Creative Writing or equivalent
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ work experience in journalism, editing, advertising copy writing or related fields required
- Understanding of the Philippine media industry and culture including social media required
- Experience working or volunteering with Philippine Red Cross or similar Humanitarian Organization preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with applications such as Microsoft Office & Social Media solutions
