- In charge of processing of papers for publication.
- Receives papers submitted thru PCP office and processes from submission to publication following the flow of manuscript selection.
- Assists the editor in supervising overall production requirements such as
- Supervising the proofreading.
- Helping the graphic artist with images/illustrations appropriate for journal articles, conformance to style guide and printing of hard copies.
- Gives feedback on how else to improve editorial systems and operations with a higher quality of publication and better distribution as the goal.
- Ensures optimum and honest use of the College’s resources including entrusted physical assets and funds.
- Assists the editor in the preparation of the budget of the journal.
- Sees to it that the finished issues will be distributed / promulgated accordingly, to proper agencies and institutions.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Editor.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong analytical and planning skills.
- Good grammar, communication, and presentation skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Knowledgeable of the following:
- MS Word
- Excel
- Powerpoint
- InDesign
- Gmail and other online search databases

PJIM is a peer-reviewed journal, published four times a year and accepts original articles in Internal Medicine and its subspecialties. PJIM publishes a total of 30-40 case reports, original papers, meta-analyses and clinical trials every year.
PJIM is a member of the Asia Pacific Association of Medical Editors and Philippine Association of Medical Journal Editors and is listed in HERDIN, WPRIM and Scopus. Index status for Scopus and PubMed is being updated.
