Job Description
The Radiologic Technologist performs simple and special radiologic procedures. He/she also ensures that x-ray films are properly labeled and collated for the reading of radiologist to come up with an accurate official result. Other responsibilities are as follows:
- Label x-ray films properly by following the standard operating procedure (SOP) for film labeling to avoid misrepresentation of results.
- Explain the procedure to patients to ensure maximum cooperation.
- Take quality radiograph employing the right exposure factors and proper positioning for accurate interpretation and evaluation of the results.
- Prepare x-ray films for reading by the Radiologist.
- Assist Radiologists during evaluation and interpretation of the films and record pertinent findings in the logbook.
- File and maintain all radiologic records.
Minimum Qualifications
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for x-ray machine and other radiological equipment.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
