Job Description

The Collection Officer is mainly responsible for the billing of excess charges and effective management of receivables (tpa, excess charges, inter company, and retainer, etc.) of all accounts assigned to him/her thru aggressive collecting initiatives in compliance with company payment policies and guidelines. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Actively participates in the identification and implementation of strategies and action plans needed to meet departmental targets.
  • Studies and understands comprehensively the billing and payment contract provisions of all accounts assigned.
  • Manages collection of all accounts under him based on company policies, contract provisions, special payment arrangements, and collection targets.
  • Ensures release of billing in accurate and timely manner.
  • Prepares the following reports:
    • Progress Report (Weekly)
    • Special Payment Arrangement (SPA) Report (Weekly)
    • Aging Report (Monthly)
    • Progress Report (Weekly)
    • Management Note (as required)
    • Financial Summary (as required)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable in Basic Accounting and Tax Regulations.
  • Knowledgeable in MS Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and planning skills.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
