Job Description
- An Information Technology (IT) auditor is responsible for the internal controls and risks within a company’s technology system. He/she participates in projects and assignments that improve internal processes and performances. This usually involves studying the technologies used and identifying points of weaknesses. He/she then prepares a report on his findings and recommends a suitable course of action. An IT auditor can also help in designing and executing internal audit strategies. He/she also mentors co-auditors.
- Conduct audits or lead audit teams in performance of IT audits and reviews of systems, applications and IT processes. Prepare and report results to Assistant Manager and Manager. These include;
- Perform pre and post- implementation reviews of system implementations or enhancements.
- IT security audits (e.g. network, operating system and data center), including evaluating if security vulnerabilities are properly identified and mitigated.
- Evaluate information general computing controls and provide value added feedback. Test compliance with those controls.
- Perform various other reviews of IT management policies and procedures such as change management, business continuity planning/ disaster recovery and information security to ensure that controls surrounding these processes are adequate.
- Develop, build & implement tools to analyze data to improve audit efficiency and effectiveness, (including for risk assessment). Ultimately be a source for analytics that business units adopt to provide business insights or for continuous auditing.
- Conduct audits or lead audit teams in operational / financial audits.
- Perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting or Computer Science.
- Preferably with at least 2 years work experience as auditor or IT auditor.
- Preferably has a recognized accounting/auditing/information system certification (e.g. CPA, CIA, CISA)
