Job Description
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Accounting Department of one of the company’s business ventures. S/he is expected to provide leadership role in all aspects of the company’s financial operations including the establishment of effective internal controls to address financial risks, formulation of Accounting policies and processes, budget monitoring and controls, etc.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops/approves changes to the company’s Chart of Accounts
- Reviews and/or prepares various financial reports to Management.
- Formulates and implements effective Cash Management strategy to ensure sufficient and smooth cash flow.
- Monitors/reviews/endorses/approves various financial transactions based on his or her delegated authority.
- Formulates and implements guidelines for effective budget formulation, utilization and review.
- Develop and implements the Accounting Operations Manual to guide the day-to-day transactions of the department.
- Coordinates with BIR, Auditing Firm and other external parties on various matters.
- Oversee the implementation of financial controls in all aspects of the company’s operations to address relevant financial risks.
Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- BS Accountancy, CPA required
- 5-7 years prior supervisory experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area. Experience working in a financial technology or financial services firm is preferred.
- Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast -pace setting. Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Access and Word.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
