Job Description

  • Process exchanges and refunds in all GDSs (Apollo, Sabre, Amadeus) and SPRK
  • Using QREX plus, RNEX and auto exchange as often as possible as they are guaranteed products.
  • In up to 15 different PCCsCalculate manual full and partial exchanges on all GDSes. OW or RT
  • Read rules thoroughly to determine back-pricing, etc.
  • Check for per fare component/direction/change for airlines that charge penalties per fare component
  • Ticket Issuance on all GDSes (commission, nets, published fares, multi ticket, private, proxy)
  • Force/Create manual fares.HHPR (Apollo).Enhanced PQ (Sabre).Create fare (Farelogix).Interpret all fare rules correctly (E.g.: Min/Max Stay, Seasons, etc.). Work out of over 50 GDS queues
  • Read, interpret and process schedule changes in all GDS
  • Follow proper airline procedures to avoid ADMs.
  • When possible, use the Schedule Change Fast Path for Sabre bookings and resources like AA Sales Link.
  • When in doubt, call to get waiver code and/or directions on how to process schedule change.Always remark the PNR.
  • Add applicable waiver code, OSI, endorsement, tour code to prevent ADMs.
  • Make sure to add waiver code to correct field in order to prevent ADMs i.e. tour code, endorsement, waiver code box and/or OSI.
  • Check the minimum connecting time: VCT* and ¤MT when sending pax flight options.Read and interpret airline’s rules for FTCs.
  • Monitor email inbox regularly for any requests from airlines, partners, colleagues, etc
  • Remark every PNR when quoting exchanges using the correct formats
  • Quote exchanges for partner bookings.
  • Contacting Airlines - Reach out to airline partners on behalf of Hopper when needed to assist with customer requests
  • Partial and full tax refunds on individual tickets within all GDSes.Net Fares.Identify, Price, Issue, Exchange, Refund appropriately
  • Price and issue ticket as a net fare using appropriate tour code and qualifiers
  • Price new net fare for exchange and include applicable tour code
  • Check net fare rules for cancellation information and refund ticket
  • Commission Files.Identify, Price, Issue, Exchange, Refund appropriately
  • Price and issue ticket as a commission fare using appropriate tour code and qualifiers.
  • Price new commission fare for exchange and include applicable tour code.
  • Check commission fare rules for cancellation information and refund ticket.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years in a user-facing or back of house airline industry role
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; bilingual proficiency in Spanish, French or Portuguese is a plus.
  • Excellent computer skills (PC), a willingness and an eagerness to excel at various types of airline systems, particularly Apollo and/or Sabre (Amadeus is a bonus).
  • Bulletin - Check bulletin daily for updates.
  • Attend all daily stand-up
  • Collaborate extensively with remote and in-house members of the Traveller Experience Team to assist with urgent or complex cases (via voice and chat).
  • Work out of multiple global distribution systems (GDSs) and a variety of internal tools to assist both agents and users with requests.
  • Set the example by providing an exceptional level of service to your customers: your agents and managers.
  • Work with other Supervisors to optimize department operations & efficiency.
  • Keep up to date on operational and policy changes.
  • Support team members’ professional growth and ensure adherence to monthly goals for quality and efficiency
  • Coach team members for both development and performance through 1:1’s and on the floor.
  • Reach monthly personal goals and Supervisor OKRs. Willingness to work a demanding schedule.
