Job Description

Develop web applications using knowledge and understanding of front-end web development, relational database management system as well as object-relational if necessary.
Write automated tests and using available testing frameworks
Maintain existing web applications and administers development and production environment
Administer the projects Cloud infrastructure and other IT resources as well as Identify and fix issues related to servers and website availability
Provide timeline, estimation, and versioning of the development projects assigned and administration support
Implements best practices and solutions to source control, hosting administration, content management and overall quality of the development projects
Assist the company and management in other related areas when required or requested

Minimum Qualifications

Technical knowledge of the following:

Platforms: Windows, Linux
Languages: PHP, HTML5, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript, JQuery
Data formats: XML and JSON
Databases: designing and administering DBs like MySQL; knowledge in PHP Data Objects for accessing databases
Web Servers: Configuring and administering Apache, CDN, caching systems, SSL/TLS as well as performance tuning and general security administration or managing Cloud environment and VPS with experience in cPanel is essential.
Load balancing, proxies, basic networking, VPN and CDN experience
Open Source Frameworks and Content Management Servers: Word press, Joomla, Drupal , Ruby on Rails, Bootstrap
AWS or any other cloud solution experience and certifications are strongly desirable, Configuration, Cloud provisioning (Infrastructure as Code) and Cloud deployment skills

Senior developer should show proficiency for the following qualifications:

3-5 yrs. experience in full cycle web application development (i.e. experience with both backend, frontend and platform integration) using PHP and MySQL
1-3 yrs. experience in system administration & virtual server administration
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
Experience in Social Media API integrations such as Facebook, Twitter, Wordpress
Experience working and knowledge on virtual environment
Understands browser-specific compatibility issues
Understands database concepts and the implications of different database designs
Ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
Willing to work extra hours when needed
Interest in mobile app development
