- Acting as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, craftspeople and operatives;
- Setting out, leveling and surveying the site;
- Checking plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations;
- Ensuring all materials used and work performed are as per specifications;
- Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials.
- Managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client/architect;
- Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project;
- Liaising with the local authority to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws;
- Liaising with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers, and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress;
- Overseeing quality control, health, and safety matters onsite; preparing reports as required;
Minimum Qualifications
- 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in bridge engineering.
- Bachelors (minimum) and Masters (preferred) degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, must be a Licensed Civil Engineering
- PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Ability to manage projects from preliminary planning through completion.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP, STAAD, or similar
