Job Description
Auro Chocolate is looking for a dynamic Purchasing Associate who will be in charge of canvassing and purchasing raw materials, other consumables, and services. He/she will ensure that supplies are available on time based on administration and production’s demands and with approval of the management. His/her duties will comprise of the following:
- Canvassing
- Source and maintain reliable suppliers of materials and services needed.
- Follow up consistently with suppliers for faster turnaround of quotation and sample requests.
- Look for most competitive pricing of items without sacrificing quality.
- Purchasing
- Prepare and send approved PO to suppliers.
- Keep track of scheduled deliveries.
- Document every purchase and transaction properly.
- Constantly update departments of status of requested items.
- Stock monitoring
- Ensure that there are sufficient materials for day-to-day operations.
- Monitor movement and use of raw materials and other consumables.
- Troubleshoot unforeseen supply issues.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of any four-year course.
- Has supply chain management / purchasing experience.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Food industry and manufacturing experience is a plus.
