Job Description
- Oversees the maintenance and projects of both the LAN and WAN
- Assist in presenting to management recommendations related to purchasing and installing hardware, software, and telecommunications equipment.
- Manages LAN and WAN security and maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, collaborating with the IT Lead, Service Desk and IT Manager in network organization.
- Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation, defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
- Reporting network operational status by gathering, prioritizing information and managing projects
- SPOF for all major Network issues. Providing a level 3 support to the organization.
- Recommend improvements to the work processes as required/needed
- Promote a positive work environment that contributes to increasing efficiency and productivity of the workforce.
- Ensure that all coordination and communication requirements are met consistently, appropriately and correctly.
- Evaluate workforce performance regularly to ensure the consistent attainment of objectives.
- Supervise the work of her direct reports and addresses all concerns within the department in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Continuously seek ways to improve productivity, as well as teams through the upgrading of skills, coaching, counseling, etc.
- Perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to evaluate critical systems, prioritize work and determine solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, and policies
- Working knowledge of these technologies:
- Networking technologies including Cisco router/switch administration and implementation
- Ethernet and wireless networking and related protocols
- VPN, remote access and configurations
- MS Office, Windows Server 2012, MS Exchange 2013 SP1
- Network monitoring systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, ECE, IT or a related degree, or equivalent education and work experience
- Significant knowledge of or background in implementation of LAN/WAN
- Cisco CCNA certification is a plus.
- 1 to 2 years related work experience
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
