Job Description

The role calls for experienced system administrator who are well versed in large scale environment. The snapshot of the 24x7 daily ops will be working with a remote team to ensure their big data platform is prepared to host new services and workloads as they are developed. Other major accountabilities will go around the maintenance and monitoring of thousands of nodes of Hadoop clusters and collaborate with other tech teams in continuous integration and production releases.

The following are required skills and nice to have skills to be successful in this role.

Required Skills

Expertise in Linux Administration
Network and Datacenter troubleshooting
Remote Server management and monitoring
Advanced shell scripting

Nice to Have Skills

Hadoop Administration (Cloudera Manager)
Git workflow and Puppet environment
App Containerization

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent IT-related programs
Proven skills and experience in BASH and Linux server administration
Ability to work in US Pacific Hours and its business days
Excellent communication skills
Technically sound, curious, and analytical thinker
