Billing and Collections Associate  

1. Attaining collection targets set per month
2. Monitoring of accounts via follow-ups thru phone and field, sending of statement of accounts.
3. Familiarity and knowledge of the company’s policies and procedures and sense of importance on targets and plans
4. Monitoring of problem accounts and initiate actions to recover/collect such problem accounts including the filing of legal cases if the situation warrants. Initiate formulation of policies and procedures to prevent occurrence of identified cause/s
5. Suspension of credit of overdue and possible high-risk accounts. In this connection, to perform credit review and recommend extension of credit line to new or over the approved credit line accounts
6. Supervision and training of collection field personnel to ensure the effective performance of field collection efforts
7. Coordination with other departments-accounting and sales, to ensure correct and proper recording of AR transactions, and to partner with the sales people in the collection efforts of accounts which are turning or seemingly becoming overdue or high risk
8. Develop professional relationships with key decision makers or counterparts from the client to foster goodwill and camaraderie thus making collection efforts more fluid and leveled

Educational Background

College graduate, preferably Business course or Accountancy

Work Experience

2 years accounting job related to Billing & Collections

Skills Required:

Excellent skills in Excel and preferably with experience in computerized accounting system
