Final Artist  

Editorial Servicing

• The Final Artist does color correction, digital imaging, image retouching, digital compositions, and ensures high-resolution images are used at all times.
• Calls the attention of the Art Director/ Editor in Chief if the images are of low resolution.
• Responsible for inputting the text, color and image corrections on the colored proofs as specified Meets by the Art Director and Editor in Chief (with signature).
• the deadlines specified by the Production Manager and Supervisor.
• Prepares the digital file to a format that will meet the printer supplier’s specs for digital plating, and converts the file to PDF. This also includes ensuring a bleed of .125 inches all around.
• Responsible for properly backing up the digital files of the handled magazines for the company’s files/ archives.
• On some occasions, S/He does press sites to assure quality printing of the cover and the main features of the magazine.

Advertising Servicing

• The Final Artist only outputs advertising collaterals with job orders that are duly signed by the production supervisor.
• Responsible in outputting digital proofs of the file supplied by advertising/ client according to the tile’s specifications.

Responsible for inputting corrections specified on the digital proofs duly signed by the Account Executive or Advertising Client.

• He only accommodates minor corrections like lightening/ darkening of images. (For major corrections like color or copy change, the file will have to be returned to the Account Executives/ Clients to be replaced with a new, corrected digital file.)
• He prepares the digital file in a format that will meet the printer supplier’s specs for digital plating.

Marketing Servicing

• The Final Artist is responsible in servicing marketing collaterals.
• He will only output marketing collaterals with job orders that are signed by the Traffic Supervisor.

• Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator;
• Proficient with MAC and PC;
• Keen eye for detail; able to visualize.
