Job Description
The opportunity:
The iOS Engineer will be reporting to Mobile Technical Lead under the Technology team of OLX Philippines. He or she will manage the design, maintenance, and enhancement of the company’s mobile-based products and services by researching and testing new developments.
Your role at OLX could include:
- Maintaining and enhancing the company's software products and services on mobile platforms
- Translating high-level designs and user interface mock-ups into working features and applications
- Coordinating with all of the company's relevant teams to ensure that all software products and services are developed according to the needs of the users, and optimized within the medium of the product or service (e.g. performance-optimized for mobile applications, etc.).
- Exploring and implementing new technologies and techniques that will improve the performance, efficiency, and effectiveness of the company's software products and services on mobile platforms
What will make you successful in this role:
- Continuous growth and development in the technical aspects of mobile software development by keeping-up-to-date with the latest developments in IOS platform
- Accurate anticipation of resource requirements (i.e. time, technical requirements, hardware) of each tasks
- Effective problem analysis and decision making without missing deadlines or causing delays in the development process
- Continuous research of new developments to improve web software performance, efficiency, and effectiveness
Minimum Qualifications
We are looking for someone with:
- A degree in BS Computer Science or similar education (e.g. Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or other engineering course)
- At least two years of experience or equivalent demonstrable practical knowledge in native application development for iOS platforms
- Experience or familiarity in web software development, mobile development, and iPhone development
- Has Objective-C Skills
- Ability to work and adapt to an Agile way of thinking
- Good understanding of code versioning (e.g. CVS, SVN, git)
