Job Description
We require a talented and experienced IT Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the IT employees, with a strong focus on achieving results and will keep up to date on the latest technologies, initiatives and contribute within the organization.
Areas of responsibility
The position leads the IT Support Helpdesk team in providing efficient quality support to all its clients.
Strategic Direction Setting
● Develops and executes an IT strategy for the Shared Service IT deliveries
● Articulates Shared Services IT’s business value by defining how it will contribute to business goals
● Consults with Shared Services Centre units and local business units to assess and anticipate current and future information and technology requirements
● Collaborates with the CIO of Odfjell SE to ensure Shared Services IT synergizes are taken advantage of in the best possible manner
Service and Product Delivery
● Manages the portfolio of shared services IT deliveries and oversees change management initiatives, business analytics and contracting, etc.
● Works with internal and external stakeholders to identify service improvement and innovation opportunities and oversees the creation of IT service roadmaps
● Advises business units and line-of-business leaders on exploiting new technologies through shared services IT offerings
● Facilitate and run the global IT Support delivery team, bridging the time zone, cultural and language gaps
● Continuously looks for new and smarter ways of delivering Shared Services IT, enforcing self-service, automation and autonomy
Functional Management
● Continually optimizes the operating model and organizational design for the Shared Services IT team to increase efficiency and consistency in IT service delivery
● Manages the financial and operational performance of the Shared Services IT group
● Oversees the creation and continuous improvement of a Shared Service IT framework
Staff and Leadership Development
● Provides ongoing support to head of Shared Services Center by acting as a sounding board in a business- and people-related capacity; uses high-level consulting skills to coach and provide feedback to the team on direction and style
● Builds the next generation of team members and contributes to company-level goals for talent development, diversity, and inclusion
● Oversees the creation of a compelling employment value proposition to attract and retain critical talent
IT Functional Management
● Collaborates with the office of the CIO to meet strategic planning, talent management, IT budget management, performance management, communication, and functional coordination goals
● Ensures his team support the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of enterprise data without disrupting digital transformation and growth
● Ensures his team support the development of appropriate governance frameworks and mechanisms for the effective use of information and technology to create value and manage risk
IT Support Helpdesk and local office
● Overall responsible for IT Support helpdesk team
● Ensures that the IT Support Helpdesk team meets the required KPI’s and performs within the parameters of the SLA’s
● Creates report related to team performance
● Attends coordination meeting with clients
● Serves as project representative for projects involving IT within the local office
● Serves as digitalization and automation advocate within the local office
● Serves as cyber security expert within the local office
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and related field;
● With at least 3-year Leadership experience in a managing capacity
● Strong interest and background on IT Support, Shared Services with a solid customer focus.
● In depth knowledge in ITIL, Lean and Six Sigma, as well as SCRUM and Agile work methods.
● Passionate about continuous improvement, innovation and change.
● Outstanding people skills as well as strong management and problem-solving capabilities
● With process improvement orientation and project management skills
● High cultural understanding and awareness, and works well across organizational, cultural and language barriers.
● Excellent English speaking and writing capabilities
