Sales and Marketing Engineer  

The Sales Engineer's objective is to sell littleBits to institutional accounts. What's that you say? What are littleBits? Uhh, nothing much really, they just happen to be those KICK-ASS, AWARD-WINNING, UBER-COOL soft-electronics building blocks that allow kids and adults to create amazing powered creations in a matter of minutes. They're, you know, from this unheard of company in New York that was invited to some dude's home. Would you believe the house even has a name, the "White House". Silly Americans.

In the Philippines, littleBits is already used extensively by none other than Makerspace Manila, a pioneering makerspace in the country. Check out their Facebook page to see what they do with those Bits! Here's a fun fact -- Makerspace Manila is the retail space of Nymbus and is THE coolest place to be. In case you haven't heard, geek is the new black. And yes, yes, there are times when you'll be working with the makerspace team -- project collaborations, joint marketing efforts, teambuilding activities and what not. Most trainings will also be held at Makerspace Manila.

What are makerspaces, you ask? Best to just Google the term, if you please. We're on the clock here.

ANYHOW -- Institutional accounts! We're talking about selling to toy / specialty stores (who in turn will sell these to the end consumer). We also need this badass sales engineer to sell to schools because littleBits is not only fun, it's got TONS of application that make it the Infinity Gauntlet for STEAM education in the country. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math.

Seriously though, we believe littleBits will pave the way for our students to have a fighting chance at careers of the future (some of which don't even exist yet). littleBits promotes 21st century skills / timeless skills building, which include Collaboration, Communication, Critical Thinking, and Creativity. In a country that's recently migrated to K-12 (thereby adding 2 additional years in secondary school), there is a lot of groundwork for schools to cover in offering a credible STEM / STEAM track. littleBits, together with Makerspace Manila's program, should be a very enticing proposition.

• Minimum 1-year relevant work experience;
• Although not necessary, experience in selling to institutional accounts (toys / specialty stores and schools) a definite plus;
• Must be mobile and willing to travel;

• Exceptional communicator and unique presenter;
• Impeccable taste in clothes;
• Can-do, proactive, won't-take-no-for-an-answer attitude;
