Main Responsibility Area:

Responsible for specifying, planning, reporting, designing, and reviewing his/her technical area (e.g. features). Is an expert for technical aspects in own responsibility area. Leads and executes technical activities and projects in own responsibility area. Writes requirements, specifications and other guiding documentation for R&D from a system point of view. May work also outside of own process area on technical issues. Solves complex engineering problems in many technology areas. Coaches other team members in solving complex engineering problems. Undertakes technical training responsibilities.

Position Description:

In this position you will be responsible for:

• Understanding customer needs for features;
• Analyzing and specifying HW preconditions for any kind of feature support.
• Analyzing and specifying dependencies between new and existing eNB features, aiming at maximum compatibility.
• Analyzing and specifying impacts of new features to eNB supported configurations.
• Modelling the behavior of software embedded within LTE Base Station (interface design, message flow definition).
• Splitting of functionalities between software components within LTE Base Station;
• Documenting and maintaining the functional requirements and cumulative design modules.
• Ensuring traceability of functional requirements, design and acceptance criteria from test plans, entity tests and module tests.
• Sharing technical knowledge to software and integration teams.
• Further specification as needed during maintenance work.
• Analyzing and specifying dependencies between new and existing eNB features, aiming at maximum compatibility.
• Analyzing and specifying impacts of new features to eNB supported configurations.

Technical Knowledge/Skills:

• Experience in high-level SW architecture design and requirement analysis
• Strong telecommunication experience.
• Knowledge in requirements engineering.
• Agile /Lean/Scrum working experience.
• Working experience with IBM Rational DOORS and Sphinx.

Additional Requirements:

• B.Sc or M.Sc in faculty of Computer Science, spec. Software Engineering or similar
• Good knowledge of software system design - UML and supporting tools
