Main Responsibility Area:

Fault Coordinator is a key person in software integration process, he or she is responsible for scheduling and dispatching software maintenance issues to the appropriate person as well as acting as contact person to other teams in case of quality issues.

  • Fault Coordinator stays in direct contact with Scrum Masters, Line Managers, Software Engineers, Integration Engineers, Software Configuration Engineers and Fault Coordinators in other teams.
  • Takes ownership of faults reported to his Development Area - daily follow up of all the opened fault status, solution organization.
  • Works closely with fellow Fault Coordinators and Line Managers, fault statistics generation and propose actions to mitigate situations
  • Interaction with other teams, exchange of comments concerning defected problems, fault transfers following analysis results
  • Leads maintenance activities in his/her R&D project, arranges fault meetings and RCA (root cause analysis) meetings when necessary
  • Actively manages and prioritizes cases to reach the maintenance targets (e.g. amount of open faults, response time, correction time and quality targets)
  • Ensures that external Customer PR (NAxxxxxxxx) Correction Plans, PR Correction Responses and Generic Fault Descriptions are done according to guidelines
  • Drives corrections under creation and reviews correction documents
  • Deploys agreed changes in maintenance processes, tools and guidelines, improves R&D scrum team maintenance practices

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS/MS in any field, Computer Science/Computer Engineering, ECE, IT preferred
  • Good understanding of IT technology and basics of programming
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong fundamentals in digital computing, computer organization, and wireless communication.
  • Exposure to SW engineering environment/ SW R&D and programming Platforms: LINUX or other flavors of UNIX
  • Knowledge in Cloud Technology - OpenStack is an advantage
  • Exposure to Digital Wireless communication software, WCDMA/WiFi, and embedded systems development is a plus
  • Strong analytical and debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • Should have the flair for learning and working in new areas/technologies.
  • Self driven, Result Oriented, Good Communication skills and a good team player
