General Purpose
Global R&D Laboratories organization is looking for R&D Laboratory Specialist for Laboratory team at Manila. As the content owner, operator and designer, the team enables and operates industry best-in-class R&D laboratories.
Main Responsibility Area
Overall responsibility of specified entities (e.g. features). Plans, designs and executes items in own area. Coordinates activities within own responsibility area. Has developed specialist knowledge in one area. Coaches other team members in solving basic engineering problems. Solves complex engineering problems of own technology area. Typically participates in reviews of own or neighboring projects. May undertake technical training responsibilities.
As an ITAdministrator, you will be working closely with a local Laboratory team and cooperating with Laboratory teams in other countries at 24 sites. Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Leads and executes technical activities /programs within own responsibility area including relevant technical studies.
- Automating the Software deployment on enterprise IT environment and on Nokia products
- Drive the technical competence development in a team with line manager, create expertise among the team.
- High contribution to project milestones by solving/avoiding most complex problems, through understanding dependencies across product / system boundaries.
- Participates/organizes knowledge sharing activities
- Coordinate people resource from Virtual Team for technical solution implementation, report the status, and follow-up technical issues.
Minimum Qualifications
- System administration (major Linux distributions).
- Network architecture (routing, switching, firewalls, Software-Defined-Network concepts).
- Virtualization (VMWare, XEN, KVM, Openstack).
- Bash and Python scripting
- Experience in setting up backup and restore mechanism for the DB and other relevant systems
- Rich technical background with industry standard and protocol knowledge
- Installation automation framework (Ansible, Puppet)
- RHCE / CCNP certifications is a plus
