R&D Engineer | LTE 4G  

General Purpose

• Works as an experienced Engineer in product, system or technology program in SW/HW/System Design or Integration & Verification. Works under general direction and interprets internal/external business issues and recommended best practice in own discipline.

Main Responsibility Area

• He/She has the responsibility for specifying, planning, reporting, designing, reviewing in his/her technical area (e.g. several features). Is an expert for techno-economical aspects in own responsibility area. Leads and executes technical activities and projects in own responsibility area. Supports resource and program planning. Writes requirements, specifications and other guiding documentation for R&D from a technical point of view. May work also outside of own process area on technical issues. Solves complex engineering problems in many technology areas. Coaches other team members in solving complex engineering problems. Undertakes technical training responsibilities.

Position Description

• You will be an embedded C Software Engineer working on a SW for Base Station. You will be a member of a team consisting of programmers and testers. The team applies good development practices using STL, BOOST, Design Patterns, to name a few, and is responsible for requirements analysis, test cases design, implementation and execution. You will have an opportunity to constantly develop your skills in IT and Telecommunications domains. You will work in a flexible and friendly multicultural environment.

Apart from solid knowledge of C++ and deep understanding of Object Oriented programming, Candidate should have experience and knowledge of the following areas;

• STL containers and algorithms
• Design patterns
• Fundamentals of operating systems
• Memory management in C++
• Multithreading and synchronization mechanisms
• Knowledge of UML
• Linux console basics
• Unit and Module testing concept
• Good communication in English (both written and spoken)

NICE TO HAVE

• Knowledge of agile SW development practices
• Knowledge of cellular and broadband 3G or 4G access technologies (UMTS, LTE)
• Knowledge of NSN NodeB O&M SW Architecture
• professional work experience in above areas will be seen as a major advantage
