Job Description
The Sales Development Specialist is responsible for prospecting, qualifying and generating new sales leads to support Sales Associates. We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starter able to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including inbound leads, prospect lists, discovery and individual research. A enthusiastic, dynamic personality with a drive to reach decision makers is essential!
- Manage all inbound enquiries
- Conduct research to identify potential prospects.
- Source for quality leads by targeting the right leads (by trending industry or product categories, or by opening up the right contacts in the right ecosystems
- Conduct needs analysis and determine prospects pain points to determine how Ninja Van solutions will match to those needs.
- Responsible for keeping up to date with competitor product and service offerings, and sharing this knowledge with Sales Team and Manager
- Engage potential shippers and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications via telephone and mass communication such as email and social media, and conducting follow-up communications in order to move opportunities through the sales funnel.
- Work to make appointments for outside sales representatives to meet in person with shipper for product demos or contract closing
- Manage data for new and prospective clients within CRM, ensuring all communications are logged, information is relevant and accurate.
- Manage database of prospects to aid sales in building sales pipeline.
- Reporting directly to Head of Sales and Business Development
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred; 1-2 years working experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint
- Experience with MS Dynamics or another CRM Software a plus.
- Able to handle ambiguity and adapt to rapidly changing circumstances in a fast paced environment.
- Familiarity with SQL will be advantageous.
