Analytics Consultant  

Nexus Technologies, Inc. is looking for Analytics Consultants to join our growing analytics team.

This is a great opportunity to be a part of a pioneering effort to grow Nexus’ analytics consulting practice, be exposed to the information technology and data analytics industries, and provide top-quality consulting services for our clients. Analytics consultants are expected to use their problem-solving skills and creativity to develop solutions and recommendations to improve our clients’ organizations.

Expected Responsibilities

Here is a list of responsibilities that the analytics consultant is expected to be doing. The list is not complete, but it should give a good picture of the day-to-day work expected from the consultant.

• Interviewing clients to understand how their business works and what their current problems are.
• Defining the problem to be solved in an engagement.
• Gathering and extracting data from the clients’ systems.
• Cleaning and preparing data for analysis.
• Analyzing data to find insights, correlations, and outliers.
• Creating analytical models to have a deeper understanding of the data.
• Documenting results and process flows.
• Generating recommendations for clients based on the analysis (e.g. process improvement, targeted marketing, strategic direction).
• Creating visualizations and slide decks to present results to clients and non-technical audiences.
• Conducting training sessions and seminars to spread analytical and statistical literacy.

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, but fresh grads can apply as well.
• With strong foundation in statistics and mathematics.
  • No specific disciplines required, but having at least a bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or Finance is a plus.
• With experience in statistical programming / scientific computing (e.g. R, Python, Matlab).
• With experience in analytics platforms (e.g. SAS, SPSS, Alteryx).
• With experience in software or web development.
