Job Description

As Labor Relations Assistant, you are reponsible in assisting the ER/IR Assistant Manager in ensuring industrial peace and workplace cooperation is maintained between Management and Labor by ensuring compliance to labor laws, practices, Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), Company Rules and Regulations and in observing procedural due process during disciplinary and administrative hearings.

Your resposibilities will include the following:

  • Prepares Notice of Disciplinary Action (NDA) memo for erring Head Office employees
  • Compiles and encodes all NDAs in the HRIS (Human Resource Management System) for documentation purposes in case of future disciplinary interventions or actions
  • Records and prepares minutes of the meeting of the administrative hearing for proper documentation
  • Ensures proper and complete documentation/ filing of all labor related administrative cases
  • Assists the ER/IR Assistant Manager in conducting administrative hearing to erring employees and reviweing resolutions to administrative cases
  • Records, transcribes and summarizes critical incidents and occurrences during the administrative hearing
  • Researches on applicable laws and jurisprudence (court decisions) in case of labor related inquiries or concerns
  • Coordinates with the Legal Counsel regarding current labor cases
  • Disseminates company-wide memorandums, advisories or announcements regarding proclamations of non-working holidays
  • Present during grievance sessions and/or resolutions;
  • Assists during Labor Management Meetings or during Collective Bargaining meetings and takes the minutes of the meetings and disseminates to concerned individuals present in the meeting
  • Coordinates and collaborates with the Employee Relations Assistant regarding health programs or interventions
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned by Immediate Superior from time to time

Minimum Qualifications

To qualify for the position, you must posses the following:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Human Resource Management, Others, Political Science, Psychology or equivalent.
  • Preferably with at least 6 months to 1 year of experience relevant to the job.
  • Has knowledge on basic Labor laws and relations
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
