Accounting Associate  

ROLE PURPOSE

The Accounting Associate reports to the Accounting and Finance Assistant Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Assistant Accounting Manager with the day to day, monthly, quarterly and year-end operations of the Accounting/ Finance Department.
• Perform the processing and recording of local and foreign accounts payable transactions and ensure that all invoices and staff reimbursements are paid accurately and in accordance with Finance policies and procedures
• Perform the processing recording of cash receipts
• Preparation of Debit note and Credit note
• Prepares monthly schedules of accounts
• Assists in preparation of BIR tax returns and requirements for audit
• Assists in the preparation of external auditor requirements
• Other duties that will be assigned
• SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, especially Excel)
• Experience in using SAP ERP 6.00 is an advantage
• Hands-on detail-oriented tasks.
• Team player and can collaborate with other teams in the organization.
• High level of interpersonal skills with demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy
• Demonstrate a proficient level of professional skill and/or knowledge in accounting and keep current with developments and trends. Knowledge and ability to use applicable information technology and systems to meet work needs.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management.

• At least 3 solid years of accounting experience
• Must have a degree in B. S. major in Accounting
• Must be a team player
