Job Description
- Tech Leads and Engineers play a key role in the design, installation, testing and maintenance of software systems, they create the systems that power Mynt’s goals to provide financial services for every Filipino.
- Depending on the level, he/she will either be responsible for writing and coding individual programmes - providing an entirely new capability or feature to the Mynt customer or manage the software design and ensure the delivery of the same.
- Other common tasks include:
- Reviewing current systems/software.
- Providing ideas for system improvements, including cost and resource requirement proposals.
- Working closely with product designers and quality assurance teams.
- Producing detailed specifications documents and writing the program codes.
- Testing the products, features and systems in a controlled, real situations before going live.
- Managing/executing deployment into production and maintaining the systems once they are up and running.
- Manager roles are also expected to:
- Be proficient in handling complex of technical development concepts, the latest software tools and technologies and have strong database concepts and designing techniques.
- Understand different programming languages and has the ability to solve problems in coding, testing and deployment.Possesses good knowledge of different software systems and architectures and various compatibility requirements.
- Have experience in troubleshooting, software development processes and ability to understand and implement customer requirements.
- Communicate effectively with teams and clientsUnderstand project requirements, coordinate with resources and direct the projects in the right direction in a timely manner.
- Ensure standard operating procedures and project guidelines are in place and perform task allocation and performance evaluation of team members.
- Make presentations on project status, present monthly and annual reports to senior management.
Minimum Qualifications

Product managers / leads must come from a technical background with the ability to read and write source code across multiple languages

Previous experience in product and software development, design, system and platform administration

They must be able to demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team environment and deliver successful results.

Strong backgrounds in any one of the following languages and technologies:
-
Open source technology stacks which include Linux (Ubuntu/Red hat), MySQL and Java.

Web-development technologies such as PHP and Javascript.
-
Popular open source frameworks to development: Hibernate & Spring, Code Igniter, Node.js, and React.
-
iOS and Android development environments.
-
Familiarity with continuous integration / automation tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, and Selenium.

Familiarity with Big data tools such as Apache Spark and Hadoop
-
Experience in working within multidisciplinary teams to meet strategic objectives is important.
