iOS Software Engineer  

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

DOES (The tasks/responsibilities that the role performs to address requirements in Key Result Areas)

• Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code
• Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java code
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

DISPLAYS (The Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviors indicating how tasks/responsibilities will be performed)

• Advocates Apple’s design principles, interface guidelines, patterns, and best practices
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Stays in touch with The TEAM via main preferred channels, ie. Telegram, email and mobile;
• Demonstrates expertise and leadership in Android development;

DELIVERS (The specific outputs / tangible results produced by the role; resources responsible for)

• Deliver assigned task based on requirement specifications
• Ensure quality of code

QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum requirements in terms of experience and background, skills and competencies for sourcing purposes)

• Mid-level iOS developer;
• Strong knowledge proficient with Objective-C or Swift and Apple’s Xcode IDE
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
• Proficient understanding continuous integration and code versioning tools, such as Git
• Familiarity with project management tools, such as JIRA
