Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a leading information technology (IT)-based company that provides clients with outsourced customer engagement solutions – from contact centres to consulting – that help to reshape and refine their customer journey. The company has been in the business since 1998, starting with just one call centre in Australia. The company has experts on the end-to-end customer journey across multiple channels; with centres in Australia, the Philippines, USA and Europe. Our highly respected and innovative client is seeking an information technology professional with superior background in IT security management for the job of IT, Governance, Risk, & Compliance (GRC) Analyst. The job is based in Pasig City and/or Quezon City, Philippines, Manila, Philippines.

Job summary

The IT, Governance, Risk, & Compliance (GRC) Analyst is responsible for providing research, business impact analysis, and support for all governance, risk, compliance, and audit related efforts. The role is to ensure that the company is compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS), Information Security Management Systems (ISMS/ISO27001), IT General Controls, company policies and procedures, in addition to any future requirements/regulations. The role is also responsible in managing a variety of compliance processes with regard to an overall GRC framework, resolve various compliance related conflicts to amicable resolution with business/operations, and manage projects to meet the stated business benefits while balancing risks.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Administer, Support and improve company’s security & compliance requirements by performing business impact analysis on non-compliance of industry standards (ISO27001, PCI-DSS, SOX, etc.)
  • Execute and support company’s information security GRC functions (note: this staff will only be supporting some of the functions listed below): security policy development; security control implementation; risk assessments (third party, organizational, business process, application, etc.) security assessments (application, vulnerability, audit); security compliance reporting; security awareness; privacy and data protection
  • Identify and document violations of compliance standards (ISO27001, PCI-DSS, etc.) through collaborative effort with the IT Auditor/Cyber Security Officer
  • Assist in investigative and remediation efforts in case of fraud, security and compliance breaches
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and speech, as well as being able to prepare and present IT related material to a wide variety of audiences, including non-technical executives and management and on occasion, to large groups
  • Ability to coordinate incident response with many internal and external organizations including IT, legal, internal audit, operations, executive management and local authorities as needed.
  • Perform business impact analysis to support findings why breaches are a cost against operations’ financial gains.
  • Perform or work with others to execute security assessments of technical environments
  • Participate in various IT projects intended to continually improve/upgrade the security posture.
  • Any other duties as maybe assigned by management.
  • Perform audit functions solely or jointly with the IT Auditor/Cyber Security Officer.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in computer science, management information systems or equivalent experienced preferred.
  • Willing to work on a shifting schedule.
  • Preferably has a background in IT governance, risk and compliance or its equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Project Management is an advantage.
  • Must be able to work independently and/or as part of a team.
  • Strong knowledge of PCI, SOX, and other regulatory standards.
  • Demonstrated technical and analytical ability.
  • At least average audit skills.Working knowledge with PCI-DSS, ISO 9001:2008 and/or ISO 27001:2013 and with any similar industry standards
  • Average Problem Analysis and Solving skills.
  • Excellent Technical and Non-Technical Oral and Written communication skills.
  • Analytical. Should have the ability to break down problems or situations into smaller parts to find solutions.
  • Attention to Detail. Should be thorough and accurate in accomplishing tasks.
  • Commercial Focus. Must be a general knowledge of business, specifically, their understanding of the industry which they are working.
  • Culture Fit. The likelihood for the candidate to be able to conform and adapt to the core values and collective behaviours that make up the company.
  • Decision Making. Must have the ability to select the best solution among the different alternative solutions.
  • Effective Communicator. Able to communicate at all levels of management.
  • Flexibility. Should have the ability to change or adapt easily to a given situation. Initiative. Should have the ability to create new plan, strategy or process to achieve something or solve a problem.
  • Interpersonal skills. Able to establish rapport quickly and develop good working relationships with a wide variety of people including Client’s, Vendors and fellow Associates.
  • Judgement. The ability to make good decisions about what should be done.
  • Leadership. Must be able to establish a clear vision, share that vision with others so that they will follow willingly, providing the information, knowledge and methods to realize that vision.
