Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a leading information technology (IT)-based company that provides clients with outsourced customer engagement solutions – from contact centres to consulting – that help to reshape and refine their customer journey. The company has been in the business since 1998, starting with just one call centre in Australia. The company has experts on the end-to-end customer journey across multiple channels; with centres in Australia, the Philippines, USA and Europe. Our highly respected and innovative client is seeking an information technology professional with superior background in developing and supporting specific database services for the job of Business Intelligence Developer. The job is based in Pasig City and/or Quezon City, Philippines, Manila, Philippines.

Job summary

The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for developing, supporting and delivering specific database services such as development of Database/BI related content and assisting the team with business requirements.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Actively, participate in ICT activities by demonstrating a high-level understanding of internal systems and associated solutions
  • Design and plan BI solutions
  • Debug, monitor and troubleshoot BI solutions
  • Write relational and multidimensional database queries
  • Create and deploy reports
  • Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as may be requested from time to time
  • Self-motivated with an ability to self-skill and maintain a level of autonomy as required by the role.
  • Attend meetings, seminars and other forums as required from time to time
  • Ability to provide input and feedback during team discussions
  • Actively manage internal and external stakeholders

Operational Management

  • Design, develop, test and troubleshoot BI solutions and ad hoc data access solutions with the project team using best practices
  • Maintain and enhance reporting solutions to meet a wide range of business and system requirements
  • Analyze user requirements and, based on findings, design functional specifications for BI application
  • sInteracting with clients and internal business users to discuss requirements and to deliver reports and other BI solutions
  • Create detailed documentation of data warehouse, data marts, cube structures, ETL and other BI solutions
  • Understand the data warehouse and data mart models as well as become familiar with the business information contained in each source system
  • Assist Database Services Lead with BI Application and Reporting development and support
  • Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to BI application
  • Establish appropriate end-user BI access control levels
  • Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team
  • Work closely with business operations to document requirements and deliver effective BI solutions in a timely manner

Project Management

  • Approach each ICT Project following agreed ICT Processes
  • Develop detailed Statement of Work documenting scope, objectives and ensuring relevance with requirements
  • Participate in ICT project post-implementation review

Quality Management

  • Ownership and / or input to ICT processes and quality documentation
  • Adherence to all development standards and protocols as defined by the BI team including the likes of Change Management, Code Review, Documentation and Testing

Direct Reports Management

  • Coach, develop and mentor direct reports to maximize performance
  • Conduct effective monthly performance reviews (MPR’s)
  • Provide regular company updates to direct reports
  • Manage direct reports in line with company policies & procedures including EPM, EEO & OHS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Computer Science Degree or related discipline (desirable)
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience with developing technical BI data solutions, preferably with Microsoft tools (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, PowerBI, Excel and Excel Services)
  • Previous experience with SQL Server (All versions as required)
  • Call Centre Experience (desirable)
  • Previous work experience in IT solution development and / or deployment (desirable)
