Job Description

The Revenue Team plays a critical role at MoneyGeek - we are responsible for daily optimization of our user funnel from traffic to user actions to revenue, client campaign management and pacing / performance optimizations, A/B testing, directing the build-out of our new monetization platform, competitive analysis across the media ecosystem, and anything else that will drive revenue growth.

As a key member of this team, you will:

  • Partner with the Head of Revenue to drive daily progress on initiatives with the biggest revenue impact
  • Provide thought leadership and execution on campaign optimizations that will drive revenue growth
  • Assess the drivers of shifts in revenue and traffic, develop action plans to amplify and extend the increases and reverse the declines, and follow through on implementation
  • Execute on projects rapidly, communicate clearly and often, and create innovative and scalable solutions that will unlock the next level of growth for MoneyGeek
  • Define business-driving reporting needs for a variety of ad platform and media ecosystem datasets and tools
  • Analyze results and impact of CRO-focused tests, partner with testing team on implementation of winning tests, and validate post-test results
  • Provide requirements for and validate the successful implementation of integrations with client partner reporting systems
  • Manage multiple competing priorities with aggressive timelines and often-imperfect data; this won’t stop you from getting the job done


Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a track record of working well with business stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in marketing channel optimization, customer behavior / journey modeling and prediction, yield optimization, and A/B testing
  • Working knowledge of marketing, web, and advertising technologies like Google Analytics, Optimizely, Iterable, Google Tag Manager, etc.
  • 3+ years of professional industry experience doing quantitative analysis; a strong preference for candidates with experience in the SEO / SEM space
  • Proficient at collecting and mining data from disparate data sources, and willing to dig deeper and understand the process that creates the data
  • Strong ability to synthesize data into actionable insights that will impact the business and communicate recommendations to an executive team
  • Must be able to independently understand business context, effective trade-offs between incremental effort and outcomes, and competing deadlines that will drive the most value
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly when there is ambiguity involved
  • Must be comfortable with unstructured, fast-moving, and constantly evolving high-growth environment
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize, execute, and deliver projects on time
  • Familiarity with US business models
  • Must be able to work at least 6 hours per day Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm US Pacific time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Data Science, Statistics, Math, Economics)
  • Proficient in at least one programming language for data analysis
  • Hands-on experience with SQL
  • Demonstrated experience in statistical modeling methods with a focus on application to digital media, performance marketing, or advertising
  • Experience in the insurance, credit card, or mortgage / loans industries
  • Ability to autonomously identify opportunities for revenue growth without being directed
  • Track record of initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance
  • Advanced proficiency in visualization tools such as Power BI or Data Studio
