Job Description
The Data Integration Specialist/ETL Developer will perform data integration coding, installation, or configuration of programs, scripts, routines and stored procedures to export, transform and load data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of data and applications through analysis, coding, writing clear documentation, and problem resolution.
- Perform incident and problem management and troubleshooting to resolve and escalate issues, and lead root cause analysis to ensure platform stability.
- Develop, test, and implement program logic.
- Collaborate with the client together with the Data Warehouse Architect to perform solution design or architecture for data integrations and interfaces between applications, databases, and other data sources, both internal and external.
- Handle client concerns with regards to design in the absence of the Data Warehouse Architect.
- Analyze and translate functional specifications and change requests into technical specifications.
- Monitor progress and supervises the Data Integration Specialist and Data Integration Associate.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS Computer Science/Information Technology/Engineering (Computer or Telecommunications) or its equivalent
- 3+ years database and/or data integration design, programming or support experience
- 3+ years experience in ETL tools
- Proficiency in the following areas:
- Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB) and other ETL tools - SQL and PL/SQL scripting
- Practice system and development cycle
- Data Warehousing, Data migration/transfer, Data integration modeling and design
- Relational Databases (Oracle, SQL Server)
- Operating systems (Windows, Solaris, AIX, Linux, HP-UX)
- Must possess good technical and problem solving skills
- Highly effective communication, both oral and written
- Ability to effectively manage time
- Strong interpersonal and client facing skills
- Highly accountable in completing assigned tasks within communicated timelines
- Great team player and highly motivated self starter
- Knowledge in business intelligence tools a plus
- Knowledge in Agile Methodology, SDLC, Waterfall or any Project Management Methodology a plus
