Senior Developer (AEM)  

Job Description

The Senior Consultant works closely with various account teams across the agency to provide the internal stakeholders and our clients with experience-driven technical know-hows across a broad spectrum of technology platforms. The consultant is expected to understand key business drivers and provide advice on how to harness digital technology to overcome challenges and meet client’s business objectives.

The Senior Consultant takes functional requirements and translates that into technical specifications and manages the design, implementation, testing and deployment of the project based on the proposed solution architecture. As an effective problem-solver, the consultant is expected to be adept at identifying gaps and provide the technical solutions to address risks and issues.

The Senior Consultant is a great team player who is absolutely capable of working in a collaborative environment, and when required, works independently and effectively as a strong individual contributor. He/She is a highly motivated individual who takes pride and complete ownership of the tasks assigned and drives them through to completion.

• Skills & Experience Requirements

• A recognized Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline, with at least 5 years of technical experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux-based development and server environments.
• Extensive experience with with AEM/CQ, and its underlying technologies (Sling, OSGI, etc) is required.
• Extensive Java experience is a MUST. J2EE (Servlets/JSP) web application development experience is required. Use of Unit testing technologies is an advantage
• Strong understanding of Internet technologies such as; HTTP/HTTPS, services-based architecture such as REST.
• Working knowledge of web mark-up and front-end scripting languages such as XHTML & CSS, HTML5, JQuery, JSON. Angular experience will be an advantage
• Working knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) such as Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, PostgresSql. Hibernate experience will be an advantage.
• An ability to check own work, and ensure output is of the expected standard. Must be able to manage own workload, including task planning, estimation and execution and be able to meet short and long term targets.
• Candidates with implementation experience in one or more of the following Web Content Management System (WCMS) such as Adobe AEM 6, SiteCore, Drupal and Oracle WebCenter Sites will have a definite advantage.
• Ability to communicate technically and non-technically in a clear, concise manner, including mentoring, guiding other developers
