Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Officer


Job Description

Support the Accounts team (Manila & Brisbane) with the following:

  • Accurate and timely processing of all aspects of the accounts receivable function
  • Ensure all invoices and backup are sent or uploaded each week
  • Act as a point of contact for billing/invoice queries
  • Facilitate invoice alteration / credit note process
  • Manage client purchase orders
  • Perform daily receipting of customer receipts
  • Update and maintain customer data including contact details
  • Follow-up on unpaid invoices outside of trading terms
  • Ensure customer and vendor ledgers are reconciled and maintained
  • Accurate and timely processing of all aspects of the account payable function
  • Ensure all AP invoices are authorised, processed and paid within trading terms
  • Assist with update daily cash flow forecasts
  • Create payments in the online banking platform ready for authorisation
  • Reconcile AP & AR GL accounts monthly
  • Perform month end processes as allocated by the Corporate Accounting team / Financial Controller
  • Assist the Corporate Accounting team/Financial Controller with preparation of compliance work-papers as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrates broad level of understanding in all areas of the finance process
  • Demonstrates high level of understanding and experience in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
  • Review finance data to identify anomalies and trends
  • Conducts financial reconciliations under instruction from manager
  • Demonstrates expertise in the use of financial management software (not just XERO)
  • Ability to converse with internal employees at all levels
  • Excellent written and oral English
  • Excellent Attention to detail, ability to complete tasks even when repetitive,
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written), can identify issues and communicate them, organized, positive attitude, acknowledges mistakes and learns from them,
  • Ability to seek guidance and advice when required
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and Word expertise, ability to learn other applications.
