Payroll Officer for an AU Campaign  

We are looking for an experienced end to end AU Payroll Processor who will support the Brisbane payroll team with the following:

• End to end payroll, including monthly internal payroll, weekly contractor payroll.
• Preparing and processing PAYE/PAYG payments to IRD/ATO, and other appropriate payroll reconciliations as required
• Support the administration of the payroll data to ensure processes are correct, the data tables are maintained, and the data reconciles on a rolling YTD basis
• Ensure all pay-runs are prepared with accuracy, all backup information is saved, and all required reports are produced and saved
• Support the preparation and processing of payroll month end, ensuring payroll data reconciles YTD
• When required upload pay-runs and payroll creditor payments to the banking platform for payment
• Assist in reconciling all payroll related GL accounts each month
• Assist in reconciling and execution of payroll year end within the required timeframes
• Assist with preparation and processing of required superannuation payments

• Ability to conduct financial analysis and reporting under instruction from manager
• Ability to use financial/General Ledger software (SAGE)
• Previous experience with Australian Business Activity Statements (BAS) i.e. GST, PAYG instalments WHT etc
• Proficient in the application of accounting standards
• Ability to converse with internal employees at all levels
• Excellent written and oral English
• Excellent Attention to detail, ability to complete tasks even when repetitive,
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written), can identify issues and communicate them, organized, positive attitude, acknowledges mistakes and learns from them,
• Ability to seek guidance and advice when required
• Excellent Microsoft Excel and Word expertise, ability to learn other applications.
