Full-stack Developer | Eastwood  

We're looking for a Web/PHP Developer for our design and software client that provides a customisable web-based workflow management system for construction and other service based industries.

What will you do?

• This role is responsible for application design and development, maintenance and support, and incident and problem investigation and resolution. Working closely with developers, test analysts, and business representatives, the role supports our global web based applications.
• Be knowledgeable and an advocate of the software development life cycle processes (e.g. requirements, analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentation) and associated execution models (e.g. Waterfall, Agile, Iterative Development, ITIL, etc.).
• Understanding and translating user needs into effective application designs
• Participate in estimation of requirements and tasks utilising appropriate tools and techniques
• Analysis of data and processes to identify technical requirements for projects and communication of these requirements to project team members
• Complete functional or technical documentation as needed on projects and for applications
• Analysis and root cause identification of defects and determination of solutions that address the immediate issues and larger problems
• Present alternative options for achieving the desired result when appropriate and recommend the best route considering scope, time, and cost, and long-term impacts on applications and projects
• Demonstrating good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for delivering solutions
• Technical excellence in personal work and the ability to take on development of different tasks, functions, or features
• Conduct quality control and code reviews in applications and for projects
• Act as a liaison or primary point of contact for technical matters relating to project delivery and application support
• Demonstrate interest in improving Symetri's technical awareness, depth, and use of technology and processes across the company
• Participate in the evolution of Qusol’s practices, standards, and policies relating to software development
• Be an advocate for and follow established company practices, processes, and technologies
• Be a role model of positive behaviours in how work is accomplished personally and within a team environment

• Solid PHP background
• At least 1 year Laravel experience, required
• Experience in back-end and front-end, preferred
• Be knowledgeable and an advocate of the software development life cycle processes (e.g. analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentation) and associated execution models (e.g. Waterfall, Agile, Iterative Development, ITIL, etc.).
