Job Description
We are currently looking for a Senior Finance Specialist who will be working for our Australian account.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate exceptional Accountancy skills and knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards.
- Reviews reconciliation of the balance sheet and business bank accounts on a monthly basis as well as reviewing monthly profit and loss.
- Oversee preparation of Business Activity Statements and ensure that all statutory obligations are met including PAYG, FBT, and Superannuation.
- Maintaining Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable role.
- Oversees and review payroll role and provide monthly financial statements to an external accountant.
- Ensure all working papers are maintained in an organized manner to ensure appropriate management have access to information as and when required.
- Systems development, review, and maintenance for both accounting and administration.
- Reconciliation of accounts including: entry of bank charges and interest, Tax Saving Account including entry of interest earned, and NAB GST Offset Account.
- Entry of cheques paid for GST, PAYGW, and Payroll Tax. Also facilitates entry of recurring transactions e.g. HP payments, interest, drawings etc.
- Process summary of credit card transactions and entry of payments daily.
- Wages and Payroll:- Completion of Monthly PAYGW IAS- Completion of Monthly Payroll tax return
- GST: Completion of Quarterly BAS's.
- Assisting with expense allocation and budgeting.
- Monthly entries for: HP interest claim, depreciation.
- Follow up on unknown transfers in and out of bank and entry of same.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 4 to 5 years Australian accounting experience-Australian Account and Taxation - Highly Recommended
- Proficient in MS office applications and exposure to automated accounting systems such as NetSuite
- High-degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Preferably with customer service orientation and negotiation skills
- Able to keep client matters strictly confidential
- College graduate preferably B.S. Accounting/Finance
- Amenable to work in Ortigas Center Pasig
