Job Description
MicroSourcing Philippines Inc. is currently looking for Systems and Network Engineer to work for a company providing advanced project and portfolio management software solutions and services to a worldwide customer base.
Responsibilities:
- Will support European and American customers to cover their non-working hours
- Will support the client and their internal IT needs such as difficulties being experienced in their platforms, server and system issues and the like
- Will be responding to ticket requests
- Will build new platforms
- Platforms operational maintenance (35% of time): install, monitor and maintain server platforms used to deliver SNet service
- Support (35% of time): answer questions and conduct testing on SNet related issues in tickets. Contribute as an expert in the SwwS processes
- Operations (10% of time): perform all actions on customers’ servers, using our internal operational manager tool or command lines that gain to be executed on non-European working hours
- Research and Development (5% of time): not in charge of R&D projects as such but will be assigned precise tasks for R&D, such as testing or benchmarking
- IT (5% of time): Client’s internal servers operational maintenance
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidates must have a background in network administration, installation, configuration, and security, including installation and administration of firewalls
- Experience in Linux OS
- Experience in operating and manipulating databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL or any open source database
- Preferably 5 or more years of experience of solid experience in the related field needed
- Linux expertise and advanced networking (mandatory)
- Should be able to do scripting in Python and AWS technology (almost mandatory)
- Open-source technologies (requested)
- A previous experience of operations (would be a plus)
- Java technologies (deployment/maintenance, not development), virtualization, networks & security
- Can work in Eastwood City on a dayshift schedule
