Job Description
What will be the top 3 accountabilities for the successful candidate in this role?
- Maintains the accurate and efficient accounting and bookkeeping of all Trust Banking Group transactions affecting the Trustors’ (clients’) books of accounts
- Ensures the accuracy and timely computation of the daily NAVPU computation of pooled funds
- Completion of requirements of the regular audits of the Trust Banking Group
What will be the most important goals and priorities of the successful candidate in this role for the next 12-24 months?
- Review of processes against accounting standards
- Implement operational efficiency initiatives to ensure the accurate and timely valuation of NAVPU valuation of UITFs
- Improve financial reporting capabilities of the Group
What exposure or experiences will this role provide the successful candidate?
- Specialization in trust operations through learnings in other roles such as the settlement of transactions, reporting to clients, and reconciliation and control
- Enhance knowledge in bank accounting, internal control, compliance with regulations, and risk management.
- Improve leadership skills
What possible career opportunities will this role open up in the future for the successful candidate?
- Successor for Department or Division Head roles in Operations
- Opportunity to explore other areas/expertise in trust business operations
- Opportunity to explore other areas outside of Trust Banking Group – controllership, audit, compliance and risk management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidate must be a Certified Public Accountant
- Have at least a three-year experience in accounting, bookkeeping, reporting, or auditing (preferably in banking and finance industry)
- Excellent in microsoft application
- Have supervisory experience
- Amenable to work in BGC Taguig
