Job Description

Supply Chain Management:

  • Plans and directs all aspects of an organization’s supply chain policies, objectives, and initiatives.
  • Create Supply Chain Management Strategies that increase efficiency and speed
  • Implement a fully functional supply chain management infrastructure.
  • Manages the organization’s inventory, warehousing, and distribution functions.
  • Optimize warehouse functions.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing concepts and techniques.
  • Manages the bidding process, and when necessary, attend pre-bid conferences and participate in bid reviews and evaluations for the purpose of securing goods and/or services within budget and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manages the preparation of proposals and negotiation and administration of contracts in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Negotiate contract terms and assessment of contract proposals.
  • Handle communications and negotiations with external suppliers.
  • Maintenance and accuracy of data in computer system.

People Management:

  • Manages Supply Chain Management staff in accordance with organizational policies and objectives.
  • Set objectives for the section and individuals aligned with company KPIs.
  • Provide guidance to staff regarding procedures, issues, work priorities, and projects.
  • Evaluate and verify employee performance through the review of completed projects.
  • Review and assist the team with the resolution of Supply Chain Management related issues as they arise.
  • Ensure required competencies of its staff.
  • Control and monitor Supply Chain Management work to ensure correct manning level and competencies.

Others:

  • Manage and organize the Supply Chain Management Section to ensure functions are handled efficiently, in a sound economic way, and to customer satisfaction.
  • Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the Section and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
  • Perform job in accordance with processes and procedures stipulated in the management system and company policies.
  • Ensure coordination with the other disciplines and Department/Division as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Math or a closely related field; MSc/MBA, Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering is a plus
  • Specialized knowledge: Knowledge of leadership techniques and principles.
  • Skills (including any technical or interpersonal skills): Strong analytical and quantitative Skills; Decision-Making Skills; Strong Prioritization and Organization Skills; Exceptional Communication (oral and written) and Customer Service Skills; Presentation Skills; Technical Skills, including experienced in developing, maintaining, and revising management procedures and processes; proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel) and ERP software (e.g. SAP).
  • Abilities: Ability to multi-task; Ability to strategize and solve problems; Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
  • Other characteristics: Strong attention to detail; proactive in problem solving and getting issues resolved, and take initiative for proper and timely action in all respects; An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers; Business acumen and exemplary work ethics
  • Professional Certification (Licenses needed): N/A
  • Experience: 5-8 years of overall combined Supply Chain Management experience or related experience preferred with more than 5 years management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Proven working experience as with purchasing, expediting, quality/continuous improvement initiatives, manufacturing safety practices and relevant software applications
