Job Description
- Support the sales team in managing incoming technical inquiry from all channels and forms (website inquiry, emails, phone calls) related to the data center business of Datashield from lead identification stage to closing of opportunities.
- Conduct site visits to clarify the scope of supply and electrical/mechanical works.
- Generate engineering drawing (system single line diagram, system layout, design details as necessary) related to the offered scope of supply.
- During project awarding, coordinate with manufacturing teams within sister companies in the completion of all fabricated materials related to the agreed scope of supply.
- Conduct kick-off meetings with sales and manufacturing during turnover
- Gather periodically inventory report generated by supply chain and warehouse teams.
- In the event absence of a project manager in the organization, will serve as interim project manager and coordinate with the local contractor implementing awarded projects.
- Support the Product Manager in the maintenance of product brochures, installation manuals, operation manuals and other technical materials relevant to each manufacturer's product line being marketed by Datashield.
- Support the Product Manager in the generation of standardized solutions for the data center business which includes the products stated above but not limited to.
- Conducts other tasks assigned by the product Manager necessary to increase the favourability of winning an opportunity.
- Assists gathering of post-mortem or post-award information ( such as site photos of the finished installation) and generation of as-built diagram/ drawings of selected closed opportunities as directed by the Product Manager.
- Responsible for identifying and reporting to direct supervisor/manager his own challenges in fulfilling his duties as a presales engineer.
- Report directly to the Product Manager.
- Generate Bill of Quantities for the following products but not limited to:
- UPS- Single Phase & Three Phase
- Battery Systems
- Precision Cooling
- Racks & Other Metal Enclosures
- Raised Flooring
- Structured Cabling
- ATS, MTS, Busway Power Distribution
- Remote Environment Monitoring
Minimum Qualifications
- ECE or Mechanical Engineering graduate
- With 1-2 years of working experience in a pre-sales role
- Must have working AutoCAD capability
