Junior Marketing Communication Specialist | Social Media Specialist  

Jr. Marketing Communication Specialist is instrumental in increasing Mercola.com’s visibility on social networks. He/she is responsible for generating and publishing content and interacting with social media contacts within the guidelines set by the company.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sourcing, repurposing and posting content for the company’s social network.
• Works with departments to ensure proper messaging is being delivered online and is relevant to organizational goals. Content must adhere to the Mercola stance on the topic.
• Ensures that content is checked for proper spelling, grammar and adheres to web best practices (hyperlinks are working, images are optimized, and text is readable).
• Maintain consistency of message across multiple networks.
• Moderates discussions on social network sites and other forums. Escalates issues to the proper departments as needed.
• Provides support in compiling Marketing reports.
• Participates in other online marketing projects as needed.
• Performs other functions related, analogous, and pertinent to the preceding enumeration as may be assigned by superiors from time to time

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree, Art/Designs/Creative Multimedia, Advertising/Media, Marketing or equivalent.
• With at least 1 year of working experience but FRESH GRADUATES are welcome to apply.
• Average English writing and grammatical skills.
• Social Media Administration (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)
• Collaborative team player, able to integrate with a diverse team full of opinions and ideas
